Overview
The Zebra DS4608-XD (formerly sold as the DS4608-DPE) is a corded handheld scanner from the DS4600 Series for electronics manufacturing. Zebra positions it for direct part marks and high-density barcodes on plastic and metal sub-components, such as PCBs and small electronic parts.
It has the widest decode range in its class, so operators can hold it at a natural distance to read tiny codes. A 1280 x 800 sensor, warm white illumination and a green circular aimer read codes down to 2 mil (Code 39) and 4 mil (DataMatrix), and laser and chemical etched barcodes can be captured with ease. It connects over USB, RS232 or IBM 46XX and is sealed to IP52.
