Overview
The Cognex DataMan 8700DQ is a member of the DataMan 8700 Series that Cognex describes as designed for fast, accurate direct part mark (DPM) code reading. It suits traceability of parts in automotive, electronics and general manufacturing where codes are marked directly on metal or plastic.
It uses integrated white diffused lighting, a 1.6 MP sensor and Cognex's patented decoding algorithms with HDR imaging. It shares the 8700 Series' rugged IP67 oil-resistant housing, 2.5 m drop rating, OLED display, DataMan Web UI and corded or wireless connectivity with industrial Ethernet protocols.
