Overview
The Cognex DataMan 8700DX is the highest-performance model in the DataMan 8700 Series of rugged industrial handheld barcode readers. It is designed for worn, damaged or low-quality direct part marks (DPM) and label-based codes in automotive, aerospace, electronics and medical device manufacturing.
Integrated red diffuse, polarized and direct lighting forms clear images of dot peen, laser-etched and label codes on challenging surfaces. Cognex's decoding algorithms, a 1.6 MP sensor, HDR imaging, autofocus and a multi-core processor read codes in under 150 milliseconds. The IP67 housing withstands oil, water and repeated 2.5 m drops, and the reader connects by cable or wirelessly with industrial Ethernet protocols.
