Overview

The Zebra SP72 Series is a single-plane checkout scanner for retail POS and self-checkout. The SP72-H is a horizontal, zero-footprint in-counter model that drops into many legacy cut-outs; the SP72-V is a compact vertical model for counters, walls, tables, kiosks and self-checkout enclosures. The SP72-V replaces the DS7708.

A 2.3 MP (1920 x 1200) imager with a 54° field of view gives swipe speeds up to 305 cm per second and reads 1D, 2D and Digimarc barcodes. SP7208 models add an auxiliary scanner port and, on the vertical model, an optional colour camera. It supports Checkpoint and Sensormatic EAS and is IP52 rated.
