Overview
The Honeywell HF520 is a compact, plug-and-play 2D imager module for fixed-mount uses such as barcode verification, payment collection and billing at kiosks and counters. It uses Honeywell's Gen7 decoder to read all 1D, PDF and 2D barcodes on phone screens or paper.
A wide viewing angle and shallow depth of field optimise near-field reading of screen barcodes, while white LED illumination improves reading of labels in low light. It offers three times the motion tolerance of its predecessor (3.9 m/s) while keeping the same look and interface, connects over USB or RS-232, has mounting holes on three sides, works with EZConfig and is rated IP40.
