Overview
The Datalogic Magellan 9900i is Datalogic's flagship in-counter bi-optic scanner for assisted and self-checkout. True Top-Down Reader (TDR) technology gives 6-sided scanning without reorienting items, and QuadVision multicore processing gives up to 50% faster 2D reading than legacy models. It is GS1 2D Digital Link and Digimarc ready.
It is a drop-in replacement with a low-profile bonnet for better accessibility, and an optional Customer-Facing Reader for loyalty cards and coupons. AI-enabled models add two colour cameras (platter and TDR), a PoE switch, on-board TPU and Smart Vision Suite for produce recognition and shrink detection; base models offer ScaleSentry, ScanSentry and EAS interlock.
