Overview

The Novexx XTO is a thermal transfer overprinter (TTO) that prints variable data such as dates, batch codes, barcodes and logos directly onto flexible packaging film. Typical uses are tubular bags and the cover films of thermoformed trays. It fits into existing packaging machines and production lines and is used widely in food and pharmaceutical packaging.

The XTO 2ie works in intermittent mode and the XTO 2ce in continuous mode, both with a 2" printhead. The print area is 53 x 100 mm in intermittent mode and up to 53 x 600 mm in continuous mode, at print speeds of up to 1,000 mm/s. A 1,200 m ribbon, quick-change ribbon loading, tool-free printhead change and a Ribbon Save Function keep it running. The printhead is motor-driven, so no compressed air is needed, and a web server application allows remote control and diagnostics. XL and longer-stroke versions are also available.
