Overview
The Newland FR80 Salmon AI adds AI-powered barcode decoding and OCR to the FR80 on-counter scanner, for manned and self-service checkouts.
It reads difficult barcodes on challenging surfaces, captures data from IDs by OCR, and uses active sensors to prevent double reads. It has a 1280 x 1088 CMOS imager, 3.5 m/s motion tolerance and EAN-13 range of 0 to 140 mm, and connects via USB or RS-232. It is IP52 sealed.
