Overview
The Newland FR40 Koi is a megapixel presentation scanner for retail checkouts and service counters, reading 1D and 2D codes including Aztec.
It uses a 1280 x 800 CMOS imager, a 10-degree angled head and soft illumination for user comfort, and an IR sensor for quick capture. A switch toggles between paper and screen modes. It reads EAN-13 from 10 to 210 mm, tolerates 2.5 m/s motion, connects via RS-232 or USB, weighs 293 g, is IP52 sealed and rated for 1.2 m drops.
