Overview
The Honeywell Xenon DPM 1970 is the corded model of the Xenon DPM handheld scanner, purpose-built for direct part marking (DPM) in electronics assembly, light manufacturing and automotive plants. It reads low-contrast marks, curved or reflective surfaces, complex backgrounds and high-density codes where ordinary scanners struggle.
Dual white and diffused blue illumination improves reading on tightly curved, metallic and reflective parts. HD (High Definition) and UD (Ultra Definition) variants decode 1D and 2D codes down to 2 mil, which suits PCB tracking, component traceability and automotive part identification. One scanner handles both printed labels and DPM codes, and it uses Xenon Ultra corded cables and stands.
