Overview
The CipherLab RS38 UHF RFID reader attaches to the RS38 5G mobile computer for high-volume inventory in retail stores, warehouses, logistics and healthcare. It connects directly through an 8-pin connector with no pairing, and users can switch between RFID and barcode scanning with hotkeys.
It reads over 1300 tags per second, with a nominal range of 20+ m and up to 30 m maximum, and complies with EPC Gen2V2. Its 3000 mAh battery works with the RS38 battery for a full shift, both charge together on one cradle, and it is IP54 rated with 1.2 m drop resistance and a trigger tested for 2.5 million presses. An India frequency band (865.7–866.9 MHz) is listed.
