The Bluebird S70 Explosion Protection is the S70 ultra-rugged 5G handheld certified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. It is built for oil and gas, utilities, chemical and industrial manufacturing sites where intrinsically safe equipment is required.
It carries ATEX, IECEx and UKEX certification (Zone 2 / Zone 22 gas and dust markings) and keeps the S70 platform: Qualcomm QC6490 octa-core 2.7 GHz, Android 12 upgradeable to Android 16, a 6-inch FHD+ 600-nit display, 5G and Wi-Fi 6E, and an SE4770 imager with SE4720 or SE55 options. A 5,000 mAh battery (7,000 mAh extended) supports fast charging and hot swap, and the device survives 3.05 m drops and 2,000 tumbles at 1 m.
